  •   Keyona is taking ridding lessons, and is having the time of her life.

    DSCN2115

She is most defiantly a farm girl at heart.  The other day she was helping April out side the the turkey house, when the work was done she wondered off.  April called the house thinking Keyona came back home, nope not at the house.  Then hear comes Keyona walking out of the turkey house carrying 3 dead turkeys.  When I asked her why her reply was "it's part of the job and has to get done".  She just warms my heart!

Joshua went for his first hair cut the other day.

  • Crawford family update

Well life is just buzzing by faster every week!  I thought I would post a few pics to show what our family is doing.  Keyona was a big help this Thanksgiving, she and Josh took care of the Turkey.

We had a backup plan just incase the Turkey did not work out...Rhianna Soup!  I am glad the Turkey turned out great.

Josh managed to get a deer on Thanksgiving day.

Last week week Josh received the Joint Service Commendation Medal.  We took a trip back to Sugar Grove for him to receive the medal.  He really enjoyed going back and visiting with his coworkers.

This morning when I looked out the window and this is what I saw...

    Birds

Every hill on the Farm was covered in squawking birds.  I was a little worried about stepping off the porch, I did not want any white wash in my eye!

  • Hungy for apple pie?

The other day mom and I made apple pie filling and spiced apples!  I usually only use a can or two of pie filling a year, but I guess I will have to start using it more.  If you have any good ideas for the pie filling I would love to hear them!

  • God is so good!

Well to say the least the life of the Crawford family has changed in the last month!  Josh is Finally out of the navy!!!  WoooHooo  The navy has been good to our family but I am so glad it is over.  Josh is now employed with the Naval Research Laboratories in Washington D.C..  It is a government job sa all of his time in the navy will roll over for retirement, vacation days and a few other things!  We worry a bit about the drive, but it will all work out in the end.  He would like to wind up working in Winchester, so maybe a transfer will take place.

It is also time for us to say good bye to our little blue house...

    DSCN1684

We are moving to the Flory farm!  It is now owned by Ralph and April Carnivallie.  They bought a new home in Broadway and are renting the farm house out to us.  So we put renters in our blue house and are going to give farm living a try!  So my life right now is boxes, cleaning, moving, cleaning.  Last week dad and Josh moved all of the big stuff so the only thing left in the house is the essentials which will be gone by this weeks end.  Keyona is really excited, she is sure that living on a farm will make her a cowgirl!  She also has a good friend that will only be a mile away from her when we move.  I do think farm living will settle well with my barefoot girl!

This pic is baby Joshua, he is wearing a little onezie Justin wore as a baby.

Joshua is now 5 months old, and he is so much fun.  He likes to laugh and coo, and have people pay attention to him.  Rhianna was happy to just lay down anywhere, anytime.  I think content best describes her as a baby.
